Sigh..are staple racks not arty enough? How about staple racks with polka dots?
The visible rack looks to be bolted to the pavement.
If that is the case, it is relatively easy for a thief to undo a couple of bolts, bend the rack up a bit and slip the chain, cable, lock and bike off of the rack. Could be quicker and easier than breaking the locking system.
No opinion on the invisible rack.

I don't mind arty racks if they are nominally useful.These meet that criteria.

You can see they used some insanely large security allen bolts that would be pretty hard to get out quickly. I don't think you could slip a proper lock off the end parts they are pretty big.
The invisible rack has some faults that I can't quite describe, easier to see though.
