I am a wheel building master

Lose the rim and you can save some serious weight.

I don't know... The cats don't seem very impressed.

I get that it needs to use a disk brake, but do you need a thicker rim strip too?

Marrock,

The only way to impress the cats is to let the air out of my road tires in their general vicinity.

MauricioB,
Ok, I lied, in reality I just lace the spokes first AND THEN put the rim on, much faster that way....

That's unfortunate. Eliminating the rim would have ended the whole clincher vs. tubular vs. tubeless debate once and for all.
